I've been nominated for another tag! I know that my last post was a tag too but I just really love the idea of this tag so her we go:
Thank you you to Life in a blogshell for nominating me (and creating this really cool tag!) you should definitely check out her blog because it's awesome. This tag is a little different to the usual ones so I've been really excited to do it.
• Mention the creator of the tag and link to their blog.
• Thank the person that nominated you for this tag and link to their blog as well.
• Shuffle your entire music library (no matter how old songs the songs are) and talk about the FIRST FIFTEEN songs that come up (anything like why they are there, if they signify something, any story, why you like them etc.)
• Mention the songs as well as the artists.
• Tag 7 people or more to do this tag and please let them know!
And the songs I got are:
1. Fluorescent Adolescent by Arctic Monkeys
I was obsessed with this song at the start of the year! I basically listened to it 24/7 and I still love it (although my obsession with it has worn of now!)
2. Back against the wall by cage the elephant
Admittedly, I haven't really listened to this song much yet, so I can't really give a fair review, but from what I have heard from it I think it's quite a nice song.
3. Midnight memories by one direction
11 year old me thought this song was so kick ass. I can remember jumping around my bedroom in my shitty one direction t-shirt with my little sister and feeling so cool listening to "rock" music. Ahhh those were the days hahah.
4. Fallingforyou by The 197
Forever one of my favourites from the 1975 but it comes with a cringe backstory. Basically I had a huge crush on this guy (he was actually the reason I started listening to the 1975 – I know, cringe) and I would, like, listen to it and pretend that I was so alone and hard done by. Gross 😂
5. Colourful by skream
I haven't listened to this song for months (until now!) and I'd forgotten how glorious it was. I found this song through skins and it's really relaxing in a kind of unnerving kind of way, if that makes sense? If your going to listen, listen with headphones because it makes it sound so much better!
6. On my own from les mis
I bloody love this song. It's like the national anthem for the friend-zone! But seriously though it gives me chills with the long notes and orchestral backing. It's my favourite song from the musical! Plus I can play it on the ukulele
7. Smells like teen spirit by Nirvana
Gotta love a bit of Nirvana, right? This song is so fucking awesome I just don't even know how to describe it. I remember listening to it when I was little too because my dad has a pretty cool music taste as well!
8. Robbers by the 1975
Wow! You have no idea how bad I want to see this live… I see all these videos of concerts where the audience is just singing along with so much feeling and it's just so… ugh! I just love this song!
9. Chocolate by The 1975
Yep. I have a lot of the 1975 On my playlist and I'm not even sorry about how much it's cropping up. This song was the first song I heard by the 1975 and I instantly fell in love.
10. Absolutely smitten by Dodie Clark
This list would never be complete without Dodie. I love this song by her because its so happy and upbeat! Also I can't wait for her new EP to come out I'm sooo ready!
11. Unholy by hey violet
This was on my most recent playlist post and for good reason- it's amazing. The reason I like this song so much is because it's so fun to sing along to.
12. Pity part by Melanie Martinez
I never get bored of this song. I absolutely love the kind of deep bass (idk how to explain it) it makes you want to just dance and sing along,
13. Stacy's mom by Fountains of Wayne
Another gem from my "emo/ punk rock"
I mean everyone knows this song don't they? Gotta love it!
14. Basket case by Greenday
Greenday! I was waiting for one of their songs to pop up! I was raised on greenday so I've known this song pretty much my whole life which is very nostalgic for me.
15. Sleep by My chemical romance
Ahh emo. This song is so full of emotion and it's beautifully sad. My 13 year old self would be proud.
Okay that's my 15! I can't wait to see everyone else's!
